Las Vegas Strip

The Las Vegas Strip was recently named an "All-American Road", a prestigious federal designation awarded to roads recognized nationally and internationally for their outstanding and highly unique qualities. The Strip is the only scenic byway in the world that has the distinction of being as scenic and unique at night as by day.

Coursing through one of the fastest growing cities in the country, The Strip is one of the most recognizable stretches of road in the world.

Las Vegas is located 442 miles south of Elko, Nevada. World famous and extraordinary sights include a giant Egyptian pyramid, a medieval castle, the New York City skyline, an Italian lakeside village, the Eiffel Tower, Venetian canals, and a Roman temple. And there is neon everywhere. It’s like no place on earth and it's right here in Nevada. The Strip in Las Vegas!

The view from Opus looking south along the strip with the Eifel Tower of Paris Las Vegas. c.2002 F.L. Sawyer. There is something on the 4.5 mile Las Vegas Strip for everyone. Hotels, casinos, and restaurants line this byway on both sides, providing opportunities to experience Las Vegas to its fullest. Colorful buildings decorate daylight hours, but the night is lit up by thousands of lights on every structure. Frequent the casinos, lounge on the deck of a crystal-blue swimming pool, or take a stroll up the Strip to get a closer look at all the things there are to do and experience.

Life is never boring on this exciting byway. It is the only National Scenic Byway in the U.S. that is more scenic at night than during the day!do and experience.
