Few people outside the state know that Nevada is one of the most mountainous states in the country. The roads here tend to twist around, over and through various mountain ranges and valleys. Often roads will crest hills and peaks and the next 10 miles of pavement will be at your feet. These stretches and others like it across the mountains and deserts of Nevada are a speeder's errrr, I mean, a driver's paradise! :-) Coming soon will be a Twisties Rating System so there is some standard for measuring how much fun you might have. Driving enjoyment is VERY subjective. So I make no bones about it. These appeal to me and may seem droll to others. BUT you will enjoy the pictures and perhaps the details nonetheless. Some of the information presented about the various twisties can also be found in such resources as the National Scenic Byways Program and Travel Nevada.
